If you are arriving in Florence by train, Hotel Fenice Palace is just a 5-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Central Station in the direction of Piazza Duomo. The hotel awaits you on Via Martelli, the second street to the left as you face the piazza. Otherwise, take a taxi (8-10 Euros).
When you arrive at Amerigo Vespucci Airport, we recommend that you take a taxi (25 Euros) for the 6 kilometers that separate you from Hotel Fenice Palace. Or, you can take the Vola a Firenze shuttle bus (5 Euros) that leaves every 30 minutes for Piazza Stazione. From here, follow the directions for those arriving “By train”.
The old town center of Florence is closed to traffic but a reservation at Hotel Fenice Palace will allow you to follow the route below without a fine: after arriving in Florence from any direction (North, South or Certosa), follow the signs for the Centro/Piazza della Libertà; from the piazza continue to the entrance the town center on Via Cavour continue straight to the chains that block access to Via Martelli. You will be in front of the hotel. Park you car in front of the entrance or in the small Via Gori (to your right). After you unload your luggage, a garage attendant will take your car (at a cost of 30 Euros per day) and will bring it back when you leave.
Tourist bus route: Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia, Corso dei Tintori, Via Dei Benci, Via Verdi, Via Sant'Egidio and Via De' Pucci. At the traffic light, turn right into Via Cavour and stop to unload luggage and passengers. If your departure is before 9:00, you can load your passengers in the pedestrian area on Via Martelli. Then exit by the station side.
